In Social Studies we are continuing our study of Chapter 7 on Ancient Rome. Homework over the weekend (February 16-18) is to finish 6 of the boxes on the life of the Romans. Because of time constraints, I will be giving an open book test on the Romans on Friday, February 20th. I will send a study guide home on Tuesday for the test. Be sure your child has read all 5 of the sections of Chapter 7 carefully. Homework for the week may be as follows:
Tuesday - Read sec 4 and complete workbook/quiz
Wednesday- Vocabulary review
Thursday- study for test
Your child should be able to get on the internet and take a practice test on Chapter 7. Be sure to run a copy of the results so extra credit can be given.
Realize that the test on Greece was not averaged on the last progress report. I made hand written changes to the report on all classes except 6th. If your child is in my 6th period, realize that the current average is not what was sent home this past Wednesday. The test grade needs to be taken into account.
In Literature we will be using the Coach series on skills for reading on Tuesday and Thursday. We will begin a poetry unit on Wednesday.
