Welcome to the wonderful world of fifth grade!
We will be doing things a little different this year.
We are going "PAPERLESS", which means all of our math and science lessons will be on computers!
The “Paperless Classroom” concept is a new pilot program for Union County Public Schools. There are only two of these classrooms in the county. We are fortunate enough to have one here at Luttrell Elementary in the fifth grade. The other classroom is located at Maynardville Elementary, which is also a fifth grade classroom. This means we will be learning the required fifth grade math and science skills along with many essential and useful computer skills.
During the first week of school, I will be teaching basic computer skills and terms that will make this new way of instruction a much easier transition. Once we have the basics, we will begin our regular math and science lessons while also building on our computer skills as we move through the school year.
I think this will be a very successful program that will make your learning experience in the fifth grade the very best it can possibly be!
