Dear Parents,
Grandparents’ Lunch was a huge success. Thanks to all of those who were able to come.
September has been a fun and exciting month for preschool. We have met lots of new friends. Among our many activities, we have learned the circle shape, explored the color red, learned the numbers 1 and 2, and introduced the letters N, W, P, and H. Our topics have included the weather, seasons, and good health habits. We’ve read many interesting books and sung great new songs.
Our field trip to Green Frog’s Pumpkin Patch is scheduled for October 26. You’ll receive more information about that soon.
This week our letter is Munchy Mouth M and we’ll be talking about the five senses. Ask your child about the finger play “Five Little Pumpkins”.
The fire truck will be visiting school on Oct. 17. Ladies from the Forked Deer Regional Library Center will be performing a puppet show for our class on Oct. 29.
On October 31, we plan to travel by bus to the Maury City Park and go trick or treating in town. Your child may wear a costume, and parents are invited---more info soon.
This Friday, Oct. 5, will be Toy Day. If your child would like to bring a special toy from home on this day, send it in the backpack.
As the weather gets cooler, everyone will be wearing jackets. Please write your child’s name inside the jacket, so that we don’t get them mixed up. Sometimes a child won’t recognize which jacket belongs to him/her.
Reminder! Fall break begins on Oct. 8 and school resumes on Tues., Oct. 16. Thanks for all your help. You parents have been great, and you have wonderful children!
