Diesel Service Technology provides students with a foundation of skills and knowledge related to the service and repair of diesel vehicles and power equipment. Students receive instruction in the maintenance, repair and service of a variety of vehicles including small equipment, automobiles, trucks, tractors and construction equipment.
The first-year course includes skills related to safety, tool and equipment usage, measurement, basic vehicle service and electrical system service.
The second-year provides foundation skills related to diesel & gasoline engine performance, power trains, diesel & gasoline engine rebuilding, electrical systems and hydraulic service. The second year students will be required to take MS-CPAS2 ( Which covers all materials from year one to year two) where these test scores can be applied to the job field or students can receive college credit at any community college in the state that offers a related program of study.
