The skills that we will list on Schoolnotes are essential for your child's growth in language, phonemic awareness skills, math and fine motor development. There are skills that we will work on all year. We list skills as we begin our concentration on them.
LETTER
We do not isolate and list a "letter of the week." The children will learn letters and sounds and will have activities and art highlighting each letter.

Tennis shoes- We have PE on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on these days. They can not run in boots or slip on shoes.
Please do not send your child to school before 7:30 in the morning. There is NO teacher in the room. If you do send your child you need to stay in the room with them until the teacher arrives.
The weather is turning a little cooler. Please make sure your child has a king size pillow case or towel to cover up with at nap time.
NEEDED-If you have not sent a white T-shirt a size or two larger than what your child wears please do so by Monday, November 9th. This is for a Thanksgiving project.
SNACKS
Please send snacks for 16 children on your snack day. We do not need drinks. Children can buy milk for 40 cents or drink water.

The activity committee and Mrs. Hardy have chosen the week of November 16-20 as "Spirit Week". The 6th graders have chosen the following special days:
Mon., Nov. 16--Career Day (dress as the career you would like)
Tues., Nov. 17--60's Day (peace, hippies, flowers...)
Wed., Nov. 18--Celebrity Day (dress as your favorite actor, singer, athlete)
Thurs., Nov. 19--Jersey Day (wear team shirt or colors)
Fri., Nov. 20--Pajama Day
We are out for Thanksgiving November 23rd to November 27th. School resumes on November 30th.
Christmas Party-Our class Christmas party will be on Thursday, December 17th. If you would like to bring something, please call Kim Nassar.
Our Christmas Pre K program will be on Friday, December 18th. More information will be sent home at a later date.
