HOMEWORK FOR THE WEEK OF: November 9-13

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
**Remember to send $1.00 for the DSU play and the signed note.
**Progress reports are scheduled to come home Thursday, November 12. Please sign and return it.
**Thanksgiving holidays—November 23-27.
**Spirit Week—November 16-20. During spirit week your child may come dressed for the following:
Mon., Nov. 16--Career Day (dress as the career you would like)
Tues., Nov. 17--60's Day (peace, hippies, flowers...)
Wed., Nov. 18--Celebrity Day (dress as your favorite actor, singer, athlete)
Thurs., Nov. 19--Jersey Day (wear favorite team shirt or colors)
Fri., Nov. 20--Pajama Day

TEST SCHEDULE:
READING: Friday (vocabulary, skills, and/or comprehension).
SPELLING: Friday  
MATH: Thursday (chapter 7)
ENGLISH: no G2

HOMEWORK:
READING and ENGLISH: This week write a sentence or story with each word and learn to recognize and use each word—city, house, sometimes, take, there. Try to read a little each night. In English we will be working on adjectives (words that describe).
SPELLING: Write the words 4 times and learn how to spell them—far, farm, arm, art, cart, card, live, soon, sometimes, house. The challenge word is: thinker.
MATH: When worksheets come home, please review them with your child.
PHONICS: Look at the worksheets with your child as they come home.

Unit: How We Express Ourselves—Once Upon A Time
Central Idea: Cultures can express themselves through fairy tales.
