I plan to be working with the following clubs this year, 2008-2009
A] the Chess Club and Team-Wednesday mornings 7:30. Dues will be provided in equipment ( ie new game sets, notebooks, paper etc) as needed to keep functioning.THE CHESS CLUB IS CONSIDERED A COMPETATIVE TEAM WITH OTHER SCHOOLS THEREFORE WILL REQUIRE THE FORM FOR DRUG TESTS TO BE FILLED OUT BY THE STUDENTS. B] Envirothon. This is an in-depth study of the environment, specifically wildlife, forestry, aquatics, and soils. We go in competative teams to district and state meets. Information needed to compete is essentially learned at the meetings, typically held after school on Wednesdays until 4:30 and occasional Saturdays. Often transportation will need to be arranged to off campus sites as announced. See me for more details. Meetings have not yet started. The main thrust right now is forestry. This is a competative team so will require the forms for drug testing. IT is also essentially a part of the AP Environmental Science Class that I teach.
