Welcome to the 11th grade and English III. This should prove to be an exciting and busy year. It will be a year of multi-tasking and using your greatest learning style to acquire a depth of knowledge that will carry you through college. I will sharpen and enhance skills you already have acquired in grammar to increase ACT scores. ACT training will be the basis of many of the activities we endeavor. Literature and writing skills will be approached as college preparatory skills. Vocabulary and Journal entries are ongoing assignments which will be taken on a regular basis. Vocabulary quizes are every thursday or Friday depending on whether it is an A day or a B day for you. On vocabulary day sentences for that week with a context clue are due. This is also a good day to do notebook checks periodically. Journal entries are due on the days you are in here on Friday. Four entries two pages in length double are due. That is, 8 pages double spaced on the topic of your choice unless otherwise assigned. Assignments can be checked on this site on a daily basis. I will try to stay as close to this schedule as possible.Always read that day's work and the next so you will know home work to be prepared for. I will try to post a week at a time.
April and May will be so busy with several units I am just going to give you all the dates so you can stay ahead and work extra hard this last 9 weeks.
