The students are working on a 3D sculpture project made out of plaster of Paris.

The students are watching a video about handbuilding a pinch pot, coil pot, and a slab pot. They will start making the pinch pot when they finish the sculpture.

The students will learn to glaze so that they will be able to glaze every pot as it is finished with its first firing. They will also be working on their pinch pots and coil pots.

The students are glazing all ceramic pieces as they are fired. They are working in groups on a paper sculpture project.

The students are glazing any ceramics pieces that have not been glazed. They are working on a linear design.
All ceramic pieces have to dry thoroughly, be fired, glazed, and fired again.
Ceramics II

The students are working on a "creative" coil pot. They are working on the wheel, also. They are learning how to center the clay on the wheel and how to throw a bowl and a plate.

The students are working on the wheel making a bowl and a plate, and they are handbuilding a rabbit.
2/23/09-2/27/09;3/2/09-3/6/09
The students are working on the wheel making a bowl and a plate, working on their rabbits, and making a piece of ceramics of their choice.

The students are working on their rabbits, making their pots of choice, and some are still working on their coil pots. They are working on their plates and bowls on the wheel. It has been much harder working on the wheel than they had thought it would be, therefore taking much longer to make something on the wheel. They have been glazing also.

The students are finishing all projects and glazing all projects as they are fired.
