NOTES from Mrs. Polk: We really enjoyed our field trip to the Jackson Zoo last Thursday. The train ride was a great beginning, and the animals were all out enjoying the great spring weather. This week we have been reviewing the skills that we have learned this year as well as practicing some new ones. We have been learning to draw conclusions from our reading and discussing characters, settings and problems of a story. We have also been putting our math skills to use by taking two minute timed math tests. You can help your child practice at home by using flashcards and giving your own timed tests. Although we know that Spring Fever is in the air, please remind your children that we still have responsibilities at school. We will continue to work hard (and do fun things, too!) up until the very last day of school!
