We have left our continental journey* to study skeletons, spiders, scarecrows, pumpkins, bats, and other "harvet" items.  We will begin our harvest unit with pumpkins.  Report cards will come home on Thursday, October 9th.  Please read them carefully, paying close attention to any weaknesses...we are beginning to address second grade skills now, after a complete review of first grade skills for the first 9 weeks.  We will be working hard to prepare ourselves for third grade!  I hope you all enjoyed your Monday holiday--the teachers met to discuss and plan our goals and objectives for this year. I am excited about what your children will be experiencing!   *(We will study Antarctica in January with the penguin unit!)
