Parents and students,
Also we are going to do an activity with m &m's so we will need each student to bring an individual bag(1.69 oz,like the one at the grocery checkout) to school next week. We are working hard on fractions with all operations.
We have a lot of work to do before the year is over. Please encourage your child to be at school each day if possible. It is very important because we cover so much material each day.
Also thank you so much for the great response to the phonebook collection. Please keep them coming. We might be winning!
Our next project is jump for heart. This will help our school get new gym equipment.
This a good web site for study and practice for the MCT2 test. www.prepdog.com . This site has questions on three levels of difficulty.
Math: No math homework this week. We do have homework in Social Studies that is due Friday. Students are to continue to bring Accelerated math home each day to work on.
Studies: We have homework in Social Studies this week. Each student is invent something. They do not have to make the invention, but they do have a explain the purpose of the invention. We are studying about the Thirteen Colonies. Hopefully completing chapter 9 this week. Test on Friday.
Science: We will be studying from the D part of our book. "Processes That Change the Earth" The anemometer were great. Thanks so much for your help on these projects. They for a unit grade.
Several students have almost completed their objectives on Study Island. Thanks for all the great work. I encourage those who have not to go on Hartcourt.com , go to fifth grade and the Learning Site.
