Since reading, writing, speaking, and listening cannot be learned in isolation from each other, I have chosen to integrate these components through authentic activities.
At the beginning of my class, approximately the first five to ten minutes, each student is given a handout or a book containing two/three sentences with various grammatical errors. These sentences are selected from the literary work being taught in class.
By using relevant content, it is my intention to reinforce the lesson and to provide students with regular practice in language and writing skills.
Each handout stresses a different skill.
