Hello everyone! We are having an excellent school year. Many great things are going on at MCMS. Students are involved in meaningful learning activities and many extracurricular activities are underway.
November 6 at 1:00pm the STLP club will have their projects displayed in the commons area. You are welcome to come and view the projects and visit MCMS. The students will compete at regional competition on November 7 at WKU.
Basketball season is just around the corner. Our 6th grade teams had their first game last evening. Our 7th and 8th grade teams will begin their season on November 24.

We have had a wonderful start to the school year. I would like to tell everyone thank you for your on-going support and continually encouraging your child to engage in a quality education.
HEART is a positive behavior plan we have implemented this year at MCMS. H - honor, E - expectations, A - attitude, R - respect, T - teamwork. Students have been learning about HEART and the positive affect it will have on their education. We are very excited about the great strides this will make in providing a learning environment that is conducive to learning.
Following are some important dates:
August 19-22 club enrollment. STLP $5, BETA $15 for exisiting members and $25 for new members, FCA $10, PEP $15 (this will get students in the club as well as pay for home middle school games for all sports). We hope many students will join the clubs. Extra-curricular activities are very important to student life.

August 19 1st football game at Glasgow at 5:00.
