Yeah! We are back to “normal” once again! That testing week is always difficult to get through. And missing a day did not help matters, either. The kids were real troopers and worked especially hard on Thursday and Friday to make up for what we missed on Wednesday so we could end on Friday and not drag it into this week.
Today in math we worked on elapsed time. I remember last year this was a bit of a challenge for the students. But I am happy to report it was a success for most.
We also went up to the library for new books today. Friday is our usual day, but since we didn’t get there last week, we got new books today.
Before I forget, there will NOT be a spelling test tomorrow. The new words were supposed to be introduced on Wednesday last week, and we were not here. We were working too hard on Thursday to make up for what we missed on Wednesday to introduce new words then. So they got passed by. We will introduce new words later this week and be back on schedule for next week.
We will hopefully see many of you back tonight for the Board of Director’s Meeting at 7:00 P.M. in the auditorium at Rosecrans High School. I was aware of this commitment when I only gave the students one assignment to finish. I didn’t want you to use me as your excuse for not being there!
HOMEWORK:
Math workbook page 26 – finish. This was begun and checked in class. They need to finish the page.
