                         HOMEFUN-WEEK OF June 1, 2009

     It's hard to believe that another year is coming to a close.  I want to thank all of you for the help I was given when needed, supplies sent when we ran out, and for checking and monitoring your child's work.  It was all greatly appreciated.  The last week of school will consist on reviewing, finishing up different subjects, assemblies, taco luncheon, and having some fun.  There will be no further homework assignments.

     I hope you and your family have a safe, restful summer and be sure your child keeps reading and memorizing their math facts during the summer months.  They will be better prepared for the 4th grade if they do.

Monday:Spelling:Write words 5 times each
                   (Review words just before going to bed.)

               Math:
                  Fact Homefun


        Reading:Read/Respond
         (Read 20 min; write 2-3 sentences about
         what you read; Parent will check and
         sign reading form.)


Tuesday:Spelling:Write sentences 2 times each

              (Review words and sentences just before
                             going to bed.)

        Math:Homefun 134B (check,sign)
             Fact Homefun134B (time,check,sign)


        Reading:Read/Respond (20 min.)


Wednesday:Spelling:Write words in ABC order.
            (Review words and sentences just before bed.)


        Math:Homefun
                  Fact Homefun


       Reading:Read/Respond (20 min.)

Thursday:Spelling:Write one sentence per word.


               EVERY SENTENCE WILL BE AT LEAST FIVE WORDS LONG,
            BEGIN WITH A CAPITAL LETTER, AND START WITH A
            DIFFERENT WORD.
                (Review words and sentences just before bed.)

              Math:Homefun
                        Fact Homefun

              Reading:Read/Respond (20 min.)

Friday:Math: Homefun
                       Fact Homefun

Thursday, June 4--Last day of school.


Wednesday, June 3-- taco luncheon

This year, bookfees are $55 dollars.  Payment can be made in increments of $13.75 each quarter or one payment of $55.

Book fees must be paid in part before a report card can be given to your child.

Due to our late lunch(12:55), please send a NUTRITIOUS
SNACK each day so your child will have something to eat around 10:30.

Please check your child's homefun each night and then
sign their planner.  I will be checking them each
morning.  If you need to communicate with me,  jot
your message in the planner, and I will respond
