Cedar Point Trip:
The bus for Cedar Point will leave promptly at 8:00am
Friday, June 6. We will return at approximately
11:00pm. Please park in the lot across from the
Polsky Parking Deck on High Street to wait for your
student. The bus will unload there. Also, we
encourage you to send a snack for your student to eat
on the bus. We are not scheduled to eat lunch until
2:00pm.
Welcome Class of 2012
Congratulations on your acceptance to AECHS. I look
forward to meeting you at the induction ceremony on
June 11. You will receive a scheduling sheet along
with enrollment paperwork at that time. If there are
questions concerning scheduling, feel free to call
your new school at 330-972-6450 or email me.
ACT Prep:
On Thursday, June 12 at 9:00am, I will be administering
a practice ACT test under actual test conditions. This
information is needed to get diagnostic information so
students can effectively use the ACT Prep Software. The
software can be used from any computer with internet
access. If you would like your student to take this
test, please have them call or email to register by
noon, Wednesday, June 11. A password to access the
program will be given upon completion of the test.
Summer Reading List and Math Packet:
A summer reading list and math packet are available for
download on the AECHS website. We encourage each
student to take advantage of these materials to keep
skills sharp over the summer break. Mrs. Duncan will
also hold discussion groups on Tuesdays if you would
to talk about the books you read. Remember, the math
packet is being graded. Don't allow the long, lazy
summer days to put you at a deficit in the fall.
Summer School:
Information regarding summer school is being mailed
with report cards for students who need to attend. The
cost is $110 each semester. Remember, any class failed
that is required for graduation must be taken in
summer school or night school. If you have questions
regarding this information, please call or email me.
I will be in the office through June 13 and will check
my email weekly throughout the summer.
