*Catholic Schools Week:
Monday- PJ day; pizza lunch, and games @ 2:30 in the Gym
Tuesday- All school Bingo @ 2:30
Wednesday- Crazy Hat and Sock Day; Spaghetti Dinner
Thursday- Movie in the afternoon bring a snack and drink.
Friday- All school Bullying Assembly @ 2:30 in the Gym.
Math: We will be reviewing Geometric Terms and Classifying Angles. We will also be Measuring Angles, Identifying Parts of the Circle, and Identifying and Classifying Polygons. The 3rd Accelerated Math assignment for the 3rd Quarter should be completed by Friday, 2/3. There will be a total of 8 Accelerated Math assignments due for this quarter. Students should be working on Accelerated Math assignments along with their regularly assigned homework to ensure that they are not scrambling at the end of the quarter to complete the assignments. Any additional Accelerated Math assignments turned in will be counted as extra credit.
Health: We will be doing a lab on properties using apples on Monday and Tuesday this week. When we are finished with the lab, students will be able to wash and eat their apple! We will also be learning more about how atoms combine, labeling an atom, and understanding the periodic table of elements. On Friday, we will take a vocab quiz over the Chapter 11 words that were defined last week.
Social Studies: The Chapter 5 test is still being graded. I will finish and return them soon. I expect the grades to be high. We will begin Ch. 6 The Middle Colonies this week. We will be learning about the people who settled the Middle Colonies. We will also be discussing Tamanend and how he encouraged cooperation between colonists and Native Americans.
