November 23-24, 2009

**No School Wednesday 11/25-11/29.  Enjoy your Thanksgiving Break!
***  Tuesday we will attend Mass at 9:05.  The students will be given a Thanksgiving Packet to work on that includes all subject areas.  The packet may be turned in for extra credit in any subject.  We will also be watching a movie in the afternoon.

Math: We are continuing Ch. 4--  2 Digit Division.  This week we will be Dividing Larger Numbers with Zeros in the Quotient.  Most students are doing very well and just need to practice to get the steps down.  It is very important that your child know their basic multiplication/division facts quickly by now.  Please continue practicing them at home if they need the extra help. There are no Accelerated Math assignments due this week.  It would be a great time to catch up on any that still need to be turned in. There will be a total of 8 assignments due by the end of the quarter.  Any extra assignments will be counted as extra credit.

Health: We will be taking the Ch. 9 Test on Monday.  The students completed a study guide and we played a review game last week to prepare for the test.

Social Studies:  We learned about Ancient Nubia last week and the students will work on a class assignment over the Chapter on Monday.  There will be no chapter test on this chapter since it is so short.  We will start Ch. 5-- India after the break.

***Check your child's planner daily to see what we have been doing.  Also ask to see your child's graded work daily.
