Wow! We made it through the first week of school! The children are doing a great job adjusting to new routines and meeting new friends.
* Just a reminder to parents, please make sure your child has his/her name on all items. I found several water bottles after school without names.
* Mark your calendars - next Thursday, September 4, is Meet the Teacher night. Although I have had the privilege to meet many parents, this is a good opportunity to see what your child has been doing in school so far. I will be happy to address any concerns or answer any questions you may have. We will also discuss the curriculum and schedule for the school year.
* Picture day is Wednesday, September 17th. The children are out of uniform on picture days.
* Please make sure the girls wear shorts under their uniform skirts or jumpers each day. We will have Physical Education on Monday afternoons and the girls can take off their uniform skirts or jumpers for PE.
* We will have computer class each Friday afternoon. Each child will need headphones for computer class.
* Next week, we will be beginning Chapter 1 in our reading and math series.
* In religion, we are learning the sign of the cross and will be attending mass with our 6th grade pals each Friday.
The children have truly been a blessing and I'm looking forward to working with them this school year.
