Class notes and Homework for December 1-5, 2008...

The following assignments and dates may be adjusted according to class progress.

GRADE 8

MATH:  We are continuing to work with polynomials, and we will multiply polynomials by polynomials. We will also learn how to transform an equation and/or formula.
      
      HOMEWORK
      Mon: pg 159-160, # 3-36 (multiples of 3)
            # 40-42, and mixed review
      Tues: pg. 162-163 # 3-42 (multiples of three)
            # 43 and 45, pg. 164 mixed review
      Weds: Page 166 # 2-26 even, mixed review
      Thurs: Study for Quiz (ON FRIDAY), CH 4 # 2
                         Sections 4:3 - 4:7
      Friday: None!

Physical Science: We are learning about Covalent and Ionic bonding as well as bonding in mentals.

      HOMEWORK
      Mon: Study Guide 5:3 (due Tuesday)
      Tues: Study Guide 5:4  (due Friday)    
      Weds: Ions in SOlutions Lab - due Mon,Dec. 8th
      Note: Chapter 5 Test on Tuesday, Dec. 9th!

Reading: We will continue to analyze setting and Mood

      HOMEWORK
      Tues: WS 103 and Voc 12
      Thurs: WS 105-106
      NOTE: Test on Friday  "In Trouble" and
            "Fast, Strong and Friendly Too!"
    
   NOTE: For second Quarter students must read 2 novels of their choice. One must be an AR Test title, and they are required to submit a “BOOK-MARK”  Report their second selection.

    
GRADE 7

HOMEWORK NOTES:  We will be getting together with our PALS on Thursday, December 18, 2008. We are asking that each students bring an age appropriate gift (approximately $5.00 range) for their PAL to exchange on that day.

Also, please do not forget that the $20.00 Camp Campbellgard deposit is due by December 12th. Thank You.

MATH: We are continuing to work with fractions, this week concentrating on multiplication and division. We will also solve word problems using fractions.

         Weds. pg 124-125, # 1-21 odd, # 22-42,
                   and Review
         Thurs. pg 128-129, #2-16 even, # 17-29 all,

EARTH SCIENCE: We will continue to explore the structure of our planet and plate tectonics.

         HOMEWORK
         Mon: Study Guide 5:5 due Tuesday
         Tues. thru Thurs: Study for test on chapter 5
                   TEST on FRIDAY!!!
  
READING: READING: We will explore topic and theme. We will also work on identify metaphors and similies.
