SPRING is here and we are going outside as much as possible. The students have been doing a variety of activities to keep them moving. Kindergarten students did relay races this week and are working on a movement song for their graduation. Grades 1-4 worked on some kickball skills and station activities including walking on small stilts, throwing frisbees, and using jump poles. I'm trying to encourage the students to challenge themselves and try some NEW things. Grades 5 - 7 worked on skills in Kickball and Tennis Racket baseball. The eye/hand coordination and knowledge of game rules are the skills they need to improve. Grade 8 students have been presenting their Aerobic routines to the class. Some of them are putting forth good effort and practice outside of classtime.
Enjoy the weather and have a great Mother's Day to all of you moms out there. Don't forget to turn in your volunteer forms for Goodwill Games on May 20. Thanks, Mrs. Ziegler
