ANNOUNCEMENTS:
*Track and Field Day is May 16th from 8-3. Thank you for those of you who volunteered to help! If any parents are still wanting to be involved there are still some places where we could use some volunteers. Please let me know if you would be free that day and would like to help out.
Don't forget that our class color is black. This does not mean that you child needs to come completely dressed in black especially if it is suppose to be a warm day. They can wear any color shirt with some black on it or they can were their black in their shorts or pants. They could also were a black hat or bandanna to sport their class color. Please don't forget to have your child wear sunscreen and send it along if you want it reapplied throughout the day. Your child needs to bring a sack lunch (nothing microwavable) and plenty to drink. Make sure that they will have plenty to eat as they will be running around and working hard. It will be an exciting day! We are looking forward to it!
*PTF will be celebrating the end of the year with a sundae party on Thursday, May 15 during lunch period. For $1.00 students can choose from three different flavors; chocolate, strawberry or caramel. Or if they would just like to have a bowl of vanilla ice cream, that would be great too. We will be ordering ahead of time so please send in your dollar with your student to give to his/her teacher with the flavor your child would enjoy the most. PTF thanks you in advance.
*The Fire Safety House from Ankeny Fire Department will be coming next Thursday at 2:15 to talk to our students about fire safety. I have attached a permission slip for you to sign and return.
