WEEKLY REFLECTIONS
Each Monday a weekly reflection will be turned in. The reflection will be in regards to either the Wednesday school Mass/prayer service or Mass/service that was attended by the student over the weekend. (For example, a reflection is due on September 17th, students may write their reflection based on the school Mass on Wednesday the 12th, or mass/service attended with their family over the weekend of September 15-16.)
The reflection must be at least one paragraph in length (6-8 sentences). Each week the students may choose from one of the following to guide their reflection:
A. Summarize, in your own words, the message of the homily.
B. What in the readings, Gospel or homily connected with you, how? Why?
C. What in the readings, Gospel or homily confused or raised more questions for you?
D. How can you take what was said at Mass or the prayer service and use it in your life right now? How about in the future?
E. What action is requested in the readings, Gospels or homily? What is difficult or holding you back from following that request for action? Explain how and why you over come these difficulties to follow Jesus.
Reflections will be due on the following Mondays in the First Trimester:
September 17, 24
October 8, 15, 29
November 5, 12, 19
