Wed. May 7
I know this has not been updated as frequently as most of you would like. The students are doing very well at tracking their daily needs in the class. I always start to slow this down at the end of the year, as you will find that 6th grade doesn't do daily updates. Students will need to be really on top of their planner next year.
Heres is what you should plan for:
Science vocabulary test next Tuesday. This is on Chapters 1 & 2 of our Unit A. They can plan on all the vocab to be on the test. They will then have a Chapter 2 & test test on all their information the last week of May. They will receive a study guide a week before that test.
Math: We will begin our final chapter that they will be tested on next week. Homework for math will be every night except Fridays.
Lang. Arts: We will pick away at unit 5. (We jumped to unit 6, because of the tie into science and animals). Students will have spelling tests for the next 3 weeks, and have some daily in class work. Much of unit 5 is review of many of the skills from units 1-4.
Writing: The students are finishing their final writing piece for me that goes with unit 6. They are doing this in class. They will have two more FOM's coming up.
