In The Spotlight:
Monday is a regular schedule; therefore students will have Spanish and Gym. Remember to bring your gym bag! Students will receive their yearbooks at the end of the day on Monday.
Tuesday, June 3rd is Fitness Fun Day. Students are out of uniform this day so please dress appropriately for the weather and activities. Bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen.
On Wednesday we will be cleaning out desks and lockers. Please send a cleaning rag to school with your child on Wednesday, along with any other cleaning supplies you are willing to donate.
During the last day of school, students will have an opportunity to sign t-shirts for their classmates. Please send a white t-shirt and one fabric marker to school with your child if you have not already done so.
Reading, Writing & Grammar:
Students have been working on their Person Books this week in class for their genre of the month project. Projects must be completed by Monday, when students will present them to the class.
Math:
We have been working on Chapter 13: Percents. The test on the first half of Chapter 13 will be on Tuesday, June 3rd before going to the field for Fitness Fun Day.
Social Studies:
This week students continued to work on their end-of-the-year group projects (timelines, advertisements, songs, & jeopardy questions). On Monday and Tuesday students will present their projects to their classmates.
Science:
We have completed our units for science with the test last week. Next week in class we will be working on a few activities in preparation for science in junior high.
Religion:
Duane Bauer is scheduled to speak to the religion classes on Monday, June 2nd about Confirmation. There will be a Chapter 20/21 quiz on Tuesday, June 3rd. A review sheet will be given to the students on Friday, May 30th.
