Dear 6^th Grade Parents,

 

Seventy percent of the combined 6^th grade received an A or B on the Chapter 11 test. This is a strong showing, and for those who didn’t do well, it appears that they had trouble memorizing the various area formulas we have been using. Anyone who received less than a 78% will have an opportunity to get extra credit by retaking the test.

 

This week we will continue on with our geometry theme by learning how to calculate volumes of three-dimensional figures. Later, the class will extend these skills by calculating the surface areas of these solid objects.
