EXTRA CREDIT SUGGESTIONS:
In the back of each science book you will find an "Activity Bank", just before Appendix A. This activity bank offers at least several ideas for students to perform activities at home that can then be presented to the class for extra credit. This class presentation offers an opportunity to learn a concept in depth to not only the student performing the activity, but also the class as a whole.
Extra credit can also be a report from a newspaper or internet article or a summary of a science show such as can be found on Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, etc. Ideas for extra credit are also thrown out almost every day in class. The student need only pay attention and write down the information needed to answer the question in the next few days.
