Theme of the Week: Summer Safety
Letter of the Week: Zz
My school email is not working. Please email me at the following: kmarchiniak@comcast.net
*I can't believe it is the last week of school already!I would like to thank everyone for making my last year here at St. Dennis such a wonderful experience. I will truly miss everyone. I have made a personal decision to not return back next year. I will be staying at home enjoying my 3-year old and new baby girl.
*We will be having Bubble Day on Thursday, May 21st and Friday, May 22nd. Please send your child with bubbles on these days. We will be going to the park to play with them.
*The stomach flu is still making it's way through our classroom. It seems to be lingering in our room! If your child is ill, please keep them at home 24-48 hours symptom free. This will help stop it from spreading to more kids. Thank you for your help with this.
*We will learn about the letter Zz this week. We will learn a song for the sounds of the letter Zz, learn how to write the letter Zz,and recognize and find the letter Zz.
*The end of the year packet went home last week. This packet is not to be turned back in. It is just some work to practice with over the Summer. It will cover shapes, numbers, and letters of the alphabet.
*If your child will be entering into Kindergarten in the fall, we recommend they know the following things:
**Letter recognition of both upper-case and lower-case letters (all of them)
**Sounds for all the letters in the alphabet
**Can recognize shapes (circle, triangle, rectangle and square)
**Can count up to at least 50
**Colors
**Recognize and write their first name
Please feel free to e-mail or call if you have any questions.
****Please Note: We will be going outside if the weather is nice. Please wear jackets and safe shoes. Thanks.
Blessings,
Mrs. Marchiniak & Mrs. Monos
