EARLY ENTRY TO SCHOOL
Dever teachers are very generous with their time and frequently allow students to come in early for assistance. If your child has made arrangements with his/her teacher for early entry, please be sure the student enters through the main Osceola doors and arrives before 8:30am. Students arriving after 8:30am should use the Olcott doors. Teacher meetings for prekindergarten, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 6th, 7th and 8th take place on Tuesday morning. Teacher meetings for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade are scheduled for Monday morning. Teachers may also be involved in special meetings on other mornings. Students may not enter early if the teacher is not available. It's best to make arrangements for early entry at least one day in advance.

PREFERRED MEAL SYSTEMS
This fall, look for our new menu - ZERO grams of trans fat!
What is trans fat? Trans fats are vegetable fats that hydrogen is added to in order to retain the shelflife and keep the flavor of certain foods. The hydrogenation process makes vegetable oil more like shortening.
Did you know???
- Trans fat can increase the risk of heart disease.
- Children who eat foods high in trans fat can be expected to get heart disease earlier than children who limit their intake of trans fats.
- Small amounts of trans fat occur naturally in certain foods. Those trans fats are not considered a health risk, but the trans fat from hydrogenated oils are.
- Where can you find trans fat? Fried foods, cookies, crackers, vegetable shortening, and stick margarine to mention a few.
The benefits of our Preferred trans fat free menu:
- Along with a healthy diet and increased physical activity, it helps lower the risk of heart disease
- Lowers cholesterol
- Enforces healthier living
