The OTHS PE uniform is a white or gray t-shirt,(with OTTAWA on it) Red solid shorts, white socks & tennis shoes.
If ONE item is missing that is a "no dress" & that will effect a students grade. Students can wear sweat shirts & pants but they MUST be wearing the PE uniform on under the sweats clothes. The P.E. uniform is required but sweat clothes are not required.
The COMPLETE uniform is required to HAVE ON in order to get full credit for the day. However, students can rent for one dollar from the PE Dept a PE shirt & shorts & return them at the end of class. They can also buy new PE shirts from us for $5.00. Also, if a student takes a No Dress & they have on tennis shoes they can still choose to participate & earn five participation points for the day. If they take a no dress & choose not to participate then the loose all ten points for that day. ALL students MUST have tennis shoes in order to participate, other wise they will loose 5 points for participation
If a student earns THREE no dresses a PE Department letter will given to the student to take home & be read and signed by a parent or guardian & return the letter the following day school day and a detention is issued for everyday it is not returned.
If a student earns FIVE no dresses they will be sent to 201 for a 201 no dress contract that must be taken home, read & signed & returned to ME the next school day otherwise a detention will be issued for everyday it is not returned.
If a student takes SEVEN no dreses in a semester they fail, recieve zero credit and is assigned to a study hall.
If a student misses class & would like up make up ABSENCE points they can write a one-page paper on the activity the class is presently doing for EACH ABSENCE. The paper must include the sources, basic terms, scoring, positions, rules, strategies,and history. If a students is absent two days, they have two days to turn in the papers. No Dresses & Participation points can NOT be made up. AWOL'S automatically looses ten points and can not be made up.
