Each student has had the opportunity to bow a cello. The children's books on the Note Family have been corrected. The students seem to have a basic idea of stringed instruments.
This week we will start learning about woodwind instruments -- flute, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon. We will have examples of flute and clarinet in the classroom. The students will not be able to play these because of the mouthpieces. I plan to talk a little bit about the recorder since that is the instrument that will be learning next year.
