We are well into the fourth quarter, and there is much work left to be done. The sixth grade students have the following long-term assignments:
Religion: Choose five Catholics who have made an
important contribution to the United States.
Write one paragraph for each person.
They have a list from which to choose.
This is due 5/14.
Reading: Historical Fiction book report due 4/21
Social Studies: Make sure that your child continues to work
on note-taking skills.
Camp at Sherwood Forest is fast approaching. The students are very excited about this opportunity. Please follow the supply list provided by the camp. Some of the students have asked if they could bring shorts, since that item is not on the list. I told them to bring along a few pair just in case it really warms up during the day. At this time of year, it's very difficult to predict what the weather could be like. I also told them to bring a water bottle and a pair of simple shoes to wear in the shower. They really need good walking shoes for all of the outdoor activities they will be taking part in. Please do not send sandals. Make sure that your child brings a sweatshirt or jacket. Evenings can be very cool at camp, and there are several activities that will take place after sunset.
If you have any other questions about camp or your child's school work, please let me know.
