YES!!! That polished presenter, that poised, fluent speaker could be YOU! Blessed Teresa of Calcutta will participate in the Archdiocesan Bellarmine Speech League. We have a terrific selection of speeches just waiting for our new and returning speech members. We will have three coaches this year: Mrs. Meyer, Mrs.Weir, Mrs. Heiligenstein, and myself, Mrs. Fague.
Our team will be open to students from Grades 6-8.
Students present speeches in serious, humorous, and duet categories. Students should practice at home and come to the first practice TOTALLY MEMORIZED. Participants will get the most out of practice if the coaches can concentrate on helping with gestures and expression rather than memorization.
Bellarmine Speech League sponsors three regular meets a year: November 8, February 7, and March 21; as well as a final meet on May 2. All meets are on Saturdays. Practice will be on Wednesdays after school from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. We are also able to offer practice on most Tuesdays before the scheduled Wednesday this year as well.
TRYOUTS for this year's team will be held on Wednesday, September 10, from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M.

PRACTICE FOR THOSE IN THE FINAL MEET will be: Wednesday, April 8, 15, 22. Final meet will be May 2 at CBC.
The team for the final meet will be determined from the highest scores from the previous three meets with priority going to eighth grade students.
