Europe is the focus this week.

 Communication Arts

Mrs.Blumhorst's and Miss Tottingham
North team is currently working on Rod Serling's The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street and will also cover a few additional Twilight Zone Episodes.
 South team is working on book reports.  Students have been assigned a novel and will complete a packet of information regarding their book.  Book reports are due April 18.
We are finished with the Communication Arts portion of the MAP test but the Math portion is coming soon!   
 
Math and Pre-Algebra

Week 3/25 - 3/28
We will be preparing for the MAP test that students will take next week. 

Science

Mr. VanWinkle and Ms. Welch

This week we are starting a new unit on Sound and Light.  This will be the final unit this year.  The students will be looking at how vibrations cause sound and how it is transmitted through a medium.  We will explain how the human ear works and ways to protect your hearing.  The students will campare the speed of sound in different media and explain how frequency and pitch are related.  We will relook at the doppler  effect, and give examples of it.
