Welcome! My name is Mary Barnes, and I am the Guidance Counselor for Folsom Junior High. I provide a variety of services to both the students and parents at this school. I deal with personal, as well as academic issues. I speak to students about their concerns with their classes and schedules, as well as concerns with self-esteem, friendships, and the myriad of problems that students face during their early teen years. In addition, I handle standardized testing, career counseling, drug-free schools, textbooks, the 504 program, and many other topics.
I enjoy meeting the parents of our students. If you need any assistance with your child’s education, please do not hesitate to call me or stop by my office for a visit.
