Starting Tuesday, January 19th, Mrs. Kristie Joiner will be joining my class for her student teaching semester. She is completing her BA degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Mrs. Joiner came to school before the Christmas holiday to meet my students and introduce herself. I know the students are in for a treat! She will be observing, participating, and teaching throughout the semester.

*Behavior Reward --- at the end of every nine week period, students will participate in the Behavior Reward if they have an E or S in classroom conduct for the nine week period. Remember, classroom conduct is determined by the number of marks a student has received during the grading period. Each week parents have been signing the behvior log in the back of the agenda.
BAND -- Our class Band time is on Thursdays from 2:30-3:31. Students will miss social studies period once a week. This will not be a problem since new skills/info. in the subject will not be taught on this day.
BEHAVIOR LOG: The behavior log is stapled in the back of the agenda. Students must have the agenda with them in every class each day. Please sign the behavior log every Friday. If a student receives a mark during the week, the teacher will indicate that in the boxes provided, initial, and date it. This is how classroom conduct is determined for the nine week period. If a child receives three marks in one week, that will result in a behavior detention. Behavior detention is on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00-8:25 a.m. Six behavior detentions in a nine week period will be referred to the administration for an In-school suspension...following the school-wide discipline policy.
