IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:
1) Progress reports will be sent home Nov. 11.
2) All students must have 6 AR tests passed by Nov. 17. This grade will be included on the second 9 weeks' report card. Check with your child to see how many tests he/she has taken so far. (Deadline is only one week away!!!)
3) Homework squares are picked up for a grade every Friday. Points are deducted for any area that is incomplete. There is a place for parents to sign on the sheet. This is an excellent way to communicate with me if you have any questions or concerns.
Assignments Nov. 10-14
MONDAY--Library Day. AR deadline only one week away--READ! READ! READ!
TUESDAY--Progress reports go out today. Sign and bring back for extra points. Read AR. Study newspaper vocabulary--test week of Nov. 17!
WEDNESDAY--I will be out today and tomorrow for a two day workshop. In class students will write a 5 paragraph essay using a graphic organizer that we worked on Mon. and Tues. It will be graded!! For homework, read AR and study newspaper vocabulary.
THURSDAY--In class, students will complete newspaper activities pertaining to format of news articles and feature articles. Assignment will be graded. For homework, continue to read AR and study newspaper vocabulary.
FRIDAY--Read AR books and review vocabulary. Enjoy the weekend!
