ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS 1st and 2nd hours
****Students should be reading 15 minutes each day. They may read any book or magazine of their choice. If they are reading notes to study for a class, that can count toward their 30 minutes. (This includes studying vocabulary!!!)
We are currently working in UNIT 7 of the Louisiana State Comprehensive Curriculum- Drama
UPDATE: We are working on the Sentence Writing Strategy from the Strategic Instruction Model. We are doing this in place of grammar. So your child should be reading 15 minutes every night and responding on their reading logs. Reading logs will be due on Fridays.
HOMEWORK- Read 15 minutes each day. AR testing ends on May 7th. Students need to take tests to meet goals for this nine weeks. It is also a grade.
Daily work- Students will be working in the drama unit. We will work on plays in class. We will be doing reader's theater:creating props and acting out the plays. FUN, FUN!!!
