         PLANS FOR THE WEEK OF:
 May 12-16, 2008        

The students will no longer have an extra story to read in their binder.  Please read nightly from the books that are in their "Leapin'Good Take-Home" envelopes!
 
                                   

This week students will be introduced to the subtraction of 2-digit numbers without regrouping.

              

                                

   This week students will learn how to spell words with the ending /ck/ sound.  The "Classroom Express" has the spelling words, dictation sentences and homework assignment for each day.  The homework assignment will be a continuation of classwork that was started earlier in the day.

SPELLING WORDS:

back   pack   neck   pick   sock   duck   tuck   quack   crack   cluck   nineteen   yellow   said   because

   DICTATION SENTENCES:

                      1.  The duck said quack-quack.

                      2.  The yellow chick will cluck.

                      3.  Pick up your sock.

                                                                      

                 

     

       

                           

This week we will study the changing weather and its effects on our area of the country...South Louisiana!
