What’s happening this week in W-29?
General Information:
•    This agenda will be sent home on Monday to inform you of the week’s focus lessons..
•    Weekly progress report goes home on Tuesday, please sign and return the following day.
•    Behavior chart goes home daily, please sign and return each day.
    
Project Read: Reading Essential:  Distinguish between fact and opinion-include examples of both in writing
•    Individual reading levels books.  Please monitor for Zip lock bag with book(s).  Students are reading nonfiction books- read aloud
•    Read for 20 minutes each night and sign the reading log.  Students are given rewards for reading.
•    Allow student to read books that are interesting for them.
•    Test:  Friday
Spelling: Words containing /f/ sound-gh, ph, and –ff.
•    Words:  tough,  enough, rough,   telephone,  nephew,  pamphlet,  that’s,  staff
•    Challenges Words:  word,  how,  day,  some,  his
•    Spelling Test:  Wednesday

Language skills: Unit 2-skill1-2-2a (Predicate expander where-symbol, question and answer words )
•    Remediation:  Distinguish between singular possessive words, plural possessive words, and contractions
•    Phonic:  /f/:  gh, ph, and ff.
•    Writing:  CC Act. 4
Math:   Identify parts of multiplication and division problems.  Use models to show that multiplication is repeated addition.  Use repeated subtraction to explain the concepts of division.
•    Text 64-721, 228-229
•    Deep lessons- continues with lessons at your own pace:  Activities-Section 27 and 28
•    Skills:  Practice, practice, practice…multiplication facts-everyday.  Strategies Touch Math
•    Test Friday
Social Studies/Living , Science):   Inclusion setting for all students/Measure, chart, and predict the weather using various instruments
•    Text D62-73
•    “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” book.
