SS FAIR INFORMATION
SS Fair Schedule
Note Cards are due Oct. 29th
Bibliography page is due Nov. 3rd
Body of Report is due Nov. 13th
Abstract of Report is due Nov. 16th
Conclusion of Report is due Nov. 20th
Final Report/Project is due Dec. 4th
Rough Draft Info: I have given the students directions in class as to how to set up the body of the paper (ex. introduction, several paragraphs with details -in order, and a conclusion).  I have also told the students that they can type their report using double spacing and a size 12 font.  If they save their work on the computer it will make it easier for them to correct mistakes for the final draft.  I suggest that the body of the report be at least several (about 5 or more) paragraphs long and should be at least two (could be more) pages typed (if double spacing).   If students are handwriting their rough draft, they may wish to skip lines to make it easier to edit and proofread their work.  If they are writing their final draft, they shouldn't skip lines.

Abstract must include:
Motivation: Why did you choose that that topic?
Problem Statement: what problem are you trying to solve? What are you investigating.
Approach: how did you go about solving the problem?
Results: What is the answer to your question? Why was the topic important?

Conclusion: What did you learn?  How do you feel about what you learned?
Conclusion (after the body of the paper) must include the main points discussed in the paper and what you determined from investigating your topic.  Tell how you feel.

This is the order of your paper:
1.  Cover sheet
2. Table of Content
3. Abstract
4. Body of the Paper
5. Conclusion
6. Bibliography
