Look Where We're going This Week in Mrs. Richard's Class
               Week of: September 17th - 21st

                 Reading and ELA
In ELA, students will create a story through shared writing with a beginning, middle and end.  Students will also be able to act out the story that they create.  We will also continue to sing songs with colors, rhyming words and opposites.  This week we will focus on letters Tt, and Ii.  Students are also learning to segment and blend words.  Flashcards on our class website are updated weekly to show the alliterative sentence that goes with each letter sound.

                        Math
In math, students will explore the concept of fewer.  They will also begin learning the recognition of the number 1. Students will play a cube train game to help them with their counting.

                   Social Living
In social living,  special guests will visit kindergarten and talk about the type of work they do at their job in the community.  Students will learn and discuss what different types of safety signs we see around the community.
