NOTES AND REMINDERS:
1. Home and School meeting Wed./6:30 pm in St. Ursula
Be sure to read note sent last week concerning the
topic and free dress for your child.
2. Social Studies -
Tuesday, Nov. 3, is the deadline to return the
yellow sheet concerning Taste Fair recipes and
earn extra credit.
EVERYONE MUST RETURN THE YELLOW SHEET. No extra
credit will be earned if the paper is returned
after Tues.
3. Reading - be sure to continue reading and testing
AR books. Be sure to read the "Family Times" sheet
each week to be aware of skills covered for the
week.
4. Pop Tops - Keep sending them in. It is an easy way
to help the patients at St. Jude.
5. Religion - The students have a Saint Report that is
due Nov. 3. The report must be on the form they
were given. They may use books for a
resource or the internet. A site that is excellent
is www.catholic.org. A link is on my Schoolnotes.
BE SURE YOU CAN READ ALL WORDS ON YOUR REPORT. YOU
WILL PRESENT YOUR REPORT TO THE CLASS SO THAT WE
CAN LEARN ABOUT MANY SAINTS. SEVERAL HAVE ASKED
ABOUT PICTURES. YES, YOU MAY HAVE A PICTURE OF
YOUR SAINT BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PICTURE.
7. Math - each week there will be graded worksheets on
addition / subtraction with regrouping. Most of the
children are doing great on this skill and we don't
want to lose the skill as we move on to other
skills.
It is not too early to begin memorizing the
multiplication tables. Yes, there will be timed
tests on the tables. I'll let you know when the
testing will begin at a later time. There are
links on my Schoolnotes that can be used to study
the tables.
PLEASE NOTE: All scheduled tests listed are subject to change due to time limitations and unforeseen circumstances within the course of the school day.
Any changes made in class override the schedule that appears on this page.
Assignments are posted in the classroom daily. Tests are posted in the classroom for the week.
Students who do not complete written classwork during the school day are expected to include the unfinished work as a part of the homework assignment for that evening.
