NOTES AND REMINDERS:
1. Social Studies - 3A & 3B - be sure to respond to
the letter sent home last week concerning recipes.
Many thanks to those that have already responded.
Your child will be given two extra credit points if
your recipe is returned by the date on the letter.
2. Christmas Project - Everyone needs to send some
nuts in the shell for this project. Please, no
walnuts - they are too large and are difficult to
glue onto the wood. Pecans, almonds, large acorns,
peanuts, etc. work best.
3. Reading - be sure to continue reading and testing
AR books. The last day to test this nine weeks is
Monday, Dec. 14. Be sure to read the "Family Times"
sheet each week to be aware of skills covered for
the week.
4. Pop Tops - Keep sending them in. It is an easy way
to help the patients at St. Jude.
7. Math - each week there will be graded worksheets on
addition / subtraction with regrouping. Most of the
children are doing great on this skill and we don't
want to lose the skill as we move on to other
skills.
It is not too early to begin memorizing the
multiplication tables. Yes, there will be timed
tests on the tables. I'll let you know when the
testing will begin at a later time. There are
links on my Schoolnotes that can be used to study
the tables.
PLEASE NOTE: All scheduled tests listed are subject to change due to time limitations and unforeseen circumstances within the course of the school day.
Any changes made in class override the schedule that appears on this page.
Assignments are posted in the classroom daily. Tests are posted in the classroom for the week.
Students who do not complete written classwork during the school day are expected to include the unfinished work as a part of the homework assignment for that evening.
