THERE ARE MANY STUDENTS WHO ARE MISSING MULTIPLE DAYS DUE TO ILLNESS. STUDENTS DO HAVE TIME TO MAKE UP ASSIGNMENTS AND TESTS. IT IS HOWEVER THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT WHAT IS WRITTEN ON THE PINK SHEET IS THE ONLY THING THEY MISSED. IT IS ALSO THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO GET THEIR WORK TURNED IN. IF MISSED WORK IS NEVER TURNED IN, IT WILL BECOME A ZERO UNLESS OTHERWISE AUTHORIZED BY THE TEACHER.
6th Grade World History
Important note: Students must READ the lesson when it is assigned. If students read the assigned lesson, they will be able to keep up with class discussions and notes.
My tests are made directly from the notes I give in class, therefore it is vital that notes are taken.
We will be starting on Chapter 5 next week.
Country Projects- Extra Credit opportunity has been given-- find a tourist website from your country and write down the web address. Write a letter (on paper) to your country asking for display material. Be sure to explain what you are doing.
******PARENTS:Please make every effort to have the student do the assignments for this country project. They may need help and/or monitoring while researching on the internet, but let them do the research. The best way to learn is to learn while doing.*************
7th grade Literature
Vocab. Unit 6- last unit before midterms
Units 1-6 will be on the midterm
2 extra points are given on vocab tests if flashcards for the words are made and brought to class on the day of the test. Hold on to those flash cards- they will make studying for midterms easier.
AR points for the 2nd quarter are REQUIRED. Free dress may still be earned by reading more than the required points
8th grade American History
Doing homework is VERY important to your grade and learning the material. If you do the homework, you will understand and remember and do better on the tests.
Assigned lessons MUST be read in order to keep up with notes and class discussion.
