Dear Parents,
The end is HERE!  This is it for our 2007-08 Kindergarten year - one last week.
I hope that I can remember everything to tell you in this last newsletter, but I'm not making any promises.  So here goes!

Math test on Tuesday on Subtraction (10 and under).  I will  give the children 3 simple subtraction problems to work and ask them to write one of their own.

Field day is Friday.  The children have free dress, but remember they will be outside playing on the cement.  Tennis shoes and running clothes are appropriate.  We are asking for as many parents as possible to be here on that day to help work the "stations". The games start around 9:00.  You may want to come a little early to help Mrs. Broussard set up. You may take your child home after field day  (around 11:30 a.m.).  If you are planning to take another child home with you, I will need a note from that child's parents giving you permission.

Monday, May 19th is our End of the Year program. Continue practicing lines/songs at home. The program will begin at 9:30 in the St. Ursula hall.  Send your child to school that morning in their nice clothes and we will dress the ones needing costumes here (unless you have your costume at home- then you can dress them in costume or send it in a bag and we will dress them here). It is up to you if you want to send your child on the bus or bring them yourselves. Front row seating is always prime, so I suggest you get there a little early.  Please be considerate when "saving seats" for family members.  When the program is over, we will have a small reception.  Weather permitting, it will be outside the St. Ursula building.  When the program and reception are over, Kindergarten is over.  Please make arrangements to take your child home with you or have someone else take them.  On this day, I do not need to have a note saying who is taking your child home.

As I have told the children, I love them and will only let them move on to first grade if they promise to hug me at recess.  This "letting go" is never easy for me, but this year it rings especially true.  I feel a special attachment to this class.   They will always be "my babies"!  Thank you for sharing them with me.

If there are any more updates, it should show on your e-mail.  Look for the ******.

God's blessings,
Sherry Craig
