Tomorrow is the last day of school. I can't believe it!!! Lunch will be provided for everyone in our class so don't send lunch tomorrow. We have had a great year! Everyone have a great summer and I will see you in the fall.

Parents,
In Social Studies we are studying about our great state. On Thursday, April 16th, of next week we will be making salt dough maps. We need your help. We need each student to bring their own salt dough. The recipe for the dough is very easy.
Salt Dough Recipe
1 cup of salt
1 1/4 cup of water
3 cups of flour
Take 1 cup of salt and dissolve it into the water (or a little more). Then stir in 3 cups of flour (one cup at a time). It should not be runny. It should have a good consistency.
Also, we will be taking the CRT's on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will be doing Reading on Tuesday and Math on Wednesday. Please help your child do their best by making sure they have plenty of rest.

I hope everyone had a great winter break. I wanted to remind everyone that the spelling bee is at 9:15 Friday morning. Kyle, Tabitha, Nadia, Taylor, and Austin will be representing our class at the Spelling Bee. Everyone is welcome to come and support the students participating in the Spelling Bee.

Due to printing difficulties the progress reports for my class will be coming home on Monday. Also, we are in great need of items for our Bedlam Thanksgiving. We are going to have a fun and exciting day on Tuesday, November 26th, and we need your help. We will be celebrating "Bedlam Thanksgiving." We are in need of certain items to make this day a great success. The entire 4th grade will be participating. Here is a list of the items needed:

Chips Pretzels Red Hots
Cheetos Cookies Icing - White or Choc.
Trail Mix Dips - on day of celebration
Package of Brown Construction Paper
Package of Multicolored Construction Paper
If you could, please send items by Friday, November 21st so we will know what we have and what we still need. Thank you in advance for all you do. I know many of you do so much. We are all grateful for all your help in making this a fun day for the kids.

The Informance will be held in the gym.
All students must wear either a red, white, or blue shirt with a pair of jeans.

I have sent a note home today with some needs listed.
Each student needs to bring a large white poster board. We will be using this in Social Studies while we prepare for the Informance. Also, everyone needs to bring 2 large brown grocery sacks. We will be using these in language arts and social studies. We would greatly appreciate it if everyone could bring their items by Friday. We will be using these items next week. One last thing, we need packing tape. We need several rolls. If anyone could spare some packing tape we would greatly appreciate it.

Tomorrow is picture day. Please send your picture envelope with your child in the morning. Also, I will be sending a sign up sheet home today for Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please fill it out and send it back with your child as soon as possible. I will send confirmation of conference times next week. One last thing, could everyone please send a large white poster board with your child by Friday of this week. We will be using them for an in-class project.
