Keyboarding practice to improve speed and accuracy. We will spend the first couple of weeks working on basic keyboarding drills to improve in both of these areas.
Sixth Grade Keyboarding is designed to improve basic keyboarding skills(speed & accuracy). While we will do keyboarding skills, we will also learn use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet Safety, etc.
ADVANCED COMPUTER:
We will design a graphics calendar layout this week.
In advanced computer we will be learning more about all of the applications in Microsoft Office including formulas in Excel and advanced presentation development. We will also be developing graphic design projects while learning Adobe Photoshop. Some of those projects include magazine cover design, handbook covers, and other creative projects. Time will be spent learning about appropriate uses of the internet.
ACE FOR MATH:
In this class we will work on review and development of math skills in preparation for improving math scores on standardized testing.
