The purpose of the gifted and talented enrichment class is to instill and encourage the love of learning, and to help equip students to be life-long, independent learners. Who Goes to GT Enrichment Classes?
Students scoring at the 97th percentile and above on a test of intellectual ability automatically qualify for GT. Students who do not quite reach that score sometimes qualify to be served in the enrichment program when other factors (such as standardized test scores, creativity tests, etc.) also indicate that it would be beneficial for the child.
To request that your child be allowed to take a test to see if he or she qualifies for GT, please notify the classroom teacher or contact Mrs. Dotson at 925-1540
