I am very excited to share my love of music with your
children!
Students at Skelly will be in Music class one week out
of every four this year.
They will spend one week each in four special-subjects
classes:
Music, Art, Physical Education, and Computer Class
When your child is in Music class, ask them to share
with you the songs they are learning!
The skills we work on all year during Music Class are:
Listening to music
Keeping a steady beat
Singing with good tone quality
Playing classroom instruments
Moving to music
Reading music notation
Creating music
Once each year, all of our students have the
opportunity to get on the stage and perform with their
classmates in a musical concert.
Additionally, some students may participate the
Speech Arts Festival, Elementary Music Festival, and
the PTA Talent Show.
