The following are standards for all written work in my Language Arts/U.S. History class. Parents please be aware of these standards so that I may better implement them. Thank you for your cooperation!!
Writing Workshop Standards
1. All work must include title of work centered on top line
2. All work must have name, block and date in top right hand corner.
3. All work must be on lined, standard sized, loose leaf paper. All holes intact with no rips or tears (in other words, do not rip out your paper!).
4. When asked to write a full page you must begin your writing on the 1st line and complete all lines to the bottom of the page.
5. All final drafts must be in blue or black ink and on clean, fresh paper.
6. All final drafts must be written as neatly as possible. No doodling, scratch outs or other markings on the paper.
7. During class time, especially during quiet writing time, you may not leave your seat unless it is an emergency or you have had prior permission by your teacher.
